Local knowledge gained through everyday life

I chose Costa Rei as a place to live, not simply a holiday destination. Since 2015 I have experienced the area beyond the peak summer months, including seasonal closures, transport practicalities and the difference between visiting in April and August.

My work combines first-hand knowledge, hospitality and digital publishing. I do not claim to be a licensed tourist guide or represent a public authority. I write as a resident, host and independent author.

Hospitality: practical, first-hand experience

Since 2018 I have managed Sardesidence, an apartment at Free Beach Residence in Costa Rei, at Via Marco Polo 8. I look after guest preparation, arrivals and practical assistance.

Hosting makes common travel questions tangible: whether a beach works well with children, what stays open after summer, when a car is genuinely necessary and how to avoid preventable planning mistakes.

I provide guests with maps, route videos, check-in instructions and local guides covering beaches, restaurants, regional products and outings. My role and the property's guest feedback can be checked on independent booking platforms.

How I research and publish

I distinguish personal observation from official information and my own opinions. I focus on decision-making details: access, seasonality, distances, wind, crowds, services and trade-offs.

I also explain when a destination or time of year may be a poor fit. The aim is to set realistic expectations, not portray every season as ideal.

Photography, video, web development and SEO are part of my more than 40 years in computing. I use these skills to document places and make practical travel information easier to understand.

I also create aerial photography and footage of the area with a drone.

I collaborate with major holiday villages and resorts in southern Sardinia, producing commercial and promotional films. I am a professional photographer and create virtual tours for accommodation properties.
